After her husband abandoned her and disappeared, Amira, a single mother, lives with her two teenage children in Be'er Sheva in the late seventies and barely makes a living from odd jobs. She keeps the pride of her little family and tries to get her children excited about life. But Sharon, who works at the factory, runs away from his house at any time to the movie theater, where he finds solace. Laura, his sister, who has a leg deformity, shuts herself up and sails through imaginations related to her collection of small glass animals, it is the glass Beaver.
When Ron's co-worker comes over for dinner, all the family's dreams are drained to him but he leaves the family in a state of disappointment trapped in their illusions.
