The International Fringe Festival 2021

The International Fringe Festival - IFF is a multidisciplinary festival, crossing audiences and ages, which is a high-quality stage for the best creators from Israel and the world in the fields of theater, dance, music, street art and plastic art. The festival is taking place for the eleventh year in the old city of Be'er-Sheva, gaining reputation in Israel and the world and was even recognized as an exceptional festival by the EFFE, the festival organization of the European Union.
This year, about 30 shows were hosted, and over 100 artists took part in three days of extensive and colorful artistic activity. The artistic program of the festival presents a unique line of original, critical and diverse work, which combines original productions, the best fringe works in Israel, debut shows born especially for the festival, children's shows and a selection of international shows that provide a contemporary and fascinating image of independent art.
Befitting an international festival, we also hosted unique shows from all over the world. From Spain, the show "ESPACIO POTENCIAL" was hosted, presenting the basic elements of flamenco: singing, guitar, rhythm and dance. From Romania, "FREAK SHOW THE MOVIE" a captivating, funny and touching feature film. From Lithuania, "TRAPS" came to us, a one-of-a-kind work, about the social manipulations applied to man in modern society.
Of course we didn't neglect the local artists, and the festival is a huge celebration of theater, music, clown shows for children, in different and special locations in the old city.
The courtyard of the Negev Museum hosted the shows: Umm Kulthum starring Galit Giat and Farid El Wahid of the Jaffa Theater, in homage to the great Arab singers. Be'er Avraham became a venue for children's shows and hosted the clown shows "Where's Gogo?" And "Af Lanu". At the youth center, we laughed with Hanoch Levin's skits, at the play "Oh Elias Elias" starring Moni Moshunov, Dror Keren and Lilian Berto and the wonderful Tsipurla Ensemble and we had a musical celebration with the Waka People. This year the festival was hosted at "Zappa Be'er Sheva", and Akiva and the Backyard performed there, Itai Perl and the Giraffes performed at "Halutz 33", and the theater hall hosted the play "Lady Amar" by Avoda Group and the highlight - the premiere of our new original production "#Heda".
There is no doubt that it was a three-day celebration of a colorful and unforgettable cultural
