The International Fringe Festival was  held for the 13th year in the Old City of Beer Sheva.

It is a multidisciplinary festival that crosses all audiences and ages, providing a quality stage for the best creators from Israel and around the world in the fields of theater, dance, music, street art and visual arts. The festival is considered one of the main fringe events in Israel and one of the largest and leading cultural festivals in the south.

In 2017, the festival was accepted into the EFFE (European Union Festivals Association) and received a commendation as an exceptional festival.

As every year, this year too, the Beer sheva Fringe Theater has worked on a unique and extraordinary artistic program, which aims to bring the best Israeli fringe creators to the forefront, in combination with theater performances that cross audiences and sectors and huge shows for the whole family!

As part of an agenda of providing a stage for local independent artists, the festival featured 2 premieres for adults, "Come on Mom" ​​and "Three Knocks". Both plays were created for the International Fringe Festival and were officially performed for the first time in the theater hall. In addition, a premiere of "Tohar Halfon- And the Battle for Cleanliness", an original rap musical for children.

On the stage of the Tammuz Hall, the best plays and performances in Israel, held performance by the Voca People - Cosmic Tour, in a new show for the first time in Be'er Sheva! The award-winning children's play Caramel by Orna Porat TheaterHot Corn in the Sea by Yumana, and Dr. Dolittle by Meditech Theater.

An African circus, children's plays, acrobats, and a unique project created at the Fringe Theater in Beer Sheva in collaboration with the 'Goodman' School of Drama from Slan - "Coffee with Poetry" - an artistic representation in the public space that touches on violence against women. In addition, at Halutz 33 a music performances by Arik Berman and Alma Gov, and on the grass of Tammuz  a Bedouin tent happening in collaboration with the Ksem Hamidbar Association.
